Non-bank lender Capri Global Capital Limited (CGCL) announced the appointment of Satish Shimpi as Chief Compliance Officer of the company, with effect from December 18, 2023.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “we wish to inform that, as approved and recommended by Nomination and Remuneration Committee the Board of Directors have appointed Mr. Satish Shimpi as Chief Compliance Officer ofthe Company, being part of Senior Management, with effect from December 18, 2023 (Other disclosures and brief profile attached as Annexure – I).”
Shimpi has worked in various roles like Head Compliance, Group Compliance Officer, Principal Officer (FIU-INDIA), Principal Nodal Officer (RBI Ombudsman Scheme), Grievance Redressal Officer, Regional Head, etc. He has set-up Compliance Function, put in place necessary policies and inculcate compliance culture. He has handled RBI (DOS, DPSS)Inspections, Special Scrutinizes, NHB Inspections and further responses to the inspection reports, scrutinize and closure. He has formulated and reviewed compliance policies, vetted policies, products, processes. He has widely travelled in India for Compliance testing/conducting Compliance workshop towards adherence with regulatory/statutory guidelines.
His most recent role was as Head Compliance &Grievance Redressal Officer for Bajaj Housing Finance Ltd. He has also held leadership positions in Compliance Department at organizations such as Bajaj Housing Finance Ltd, Bandhan Bank, IndusInd Bank and Bank of India.
Shimpi is a graduate (I Class) from Mumbai University along with Diploma in Foreign Trade Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Banking, Insurance Organisation & Management from Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur, One year Program in Leading & Managing (PLAM-II) from IIM Calcutta, CAIIB and Certified Banking Compliance Professional -IIBF.
