Cognizant has appointed Shinji Murakami, a former Microsoft executive, as Head of Japan and a member of Cognizant’s Global Growth Markets (GGM) leadership. He will be based in Tokyo.
In his new role as the head of Cognizant Japan KK, Cognizant’s Japan subsidiary, Murakami will lead the strategic expansion of the company in the country.
Murakami has over 30 years’ experience leading managed services, mobile communications, business development in the IT industry.
Murakami served in Hewlett Packard as GM of Enterprise Services for Japan. He has also held senior leadership roles at Softbank Telecom, IBM and DXC Technology.
