BharatPe, a UPI payments system, has appointed Dhruv Bahl as its ‘Head of Operations’. He will be responsible for overall operations across merchant acquisitions, servicing, payments, lending, and commerce.
Dhruv has more than 13 years of experience having worked at Fortis, Bain & Company, PayTM, Airtel Payments Bank and Roadzen.
In a statement, Ashneer Grover, Co-founder of BharatPe said, “Dhruv is first among the significant new hires BharatPe will announce in Q1 of 2020. Dhruv brings the right mix of strategic thinking and urge to get hands dirty in operations. He has seen both the hustle at start-ups and operational efficiencies at larger established businesses. BharatPe offers merchants a single interface for all UPI apps like Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay, BHIM, Mobikwik, Freecharge, and others. The startup claims to serve over 30 lakh merchants across Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and others.
