Siegwerk has announced the appointment of Dr. Nicolas Wiedmann as new Chief Executive Officer, effective from January 01,2021. Wiedmann succeeds Herbert Forker as the new CEO.
“After a three-month transition period with his predecessor Herbert Forker, Dr. Nicolas Wiedmann has assumed full responsibility as Siegwerk’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He joined Siegwerk on January 1, 2021 and has been intensively involved with the company since then,” the company said in its release.
Wiedmann continues to drive Siegwerk’s most recent strategic transformation to become a circular and digital packaging solutions company. He will further accelerate company growth with new business models beyond the traditional printing inks, the company said.
Wiedmann plans to maintain a globally and well-suited network and wants to strengthen Siegwerk’s customer-focused approach through flexible and innovative processes as well as new digital services. Additionally, Wiedmann will prioritize the company’s Circular Economy ambitions and how to support Siegwerk customers in mastering this challenge.
“From the very first moment I got to know Siegwerk, I was impressed how motivated, innovation-friendly and forward-looking the company and its employees are,” said Wiedmann. “the track record of Siegwerk over the last years is remarkable, while always remaining true to itself. The operations for Siegwerk in Asia are headed by Ashish Pradhan, President Asia, Siegwerk with Indian operations led by Ramakrishna Karanth as the CEO of Siegwerk India.
