Hinduja Flagship firm Ashok Leyland has appointed Sujan Roy as its Head of SAARC region, according to ETAuto report.
In his new role, Roy will be responsible for heading export sales in the adjoining markets which together constitute the largest region for the Ashok Leyland range of products.
After a decade-long stint with Tata Motors where he was heading the International Business of Passenger Vehicle segment, Roy quit the company in February.
In a social media post, Roy said, “After 10 years I bid farewell to Tata Motors, my longest stint ever. Amazing opportunities to learn, contribute, push me to lead a talented team and always a role in moments of glory for the company. Thanks to the PVIB team present and past who I have had the privilege to serve. It is good fortune to have wise leaders and superiors.”
In his previous stint, Roy has worked with OEMs like Honda, Volkswagen, M&M, and Mercedes.
Roy holds an M.Sc degree in Physics/Micro-Processor Electronics from University of Mumbai, and a B.Sc. degree in Physics/Instrumentation from University of Mumbai.
