Retail brand Fabindia has appointed Kunal Mehta, Head of Information Technology, Raymond Limited, as Group Chief Technology Officer. Mehta will be based out of New Delhi.
In his new role as CTO, Mehta will be responsible for defining the IT strategy roadmap for the group and driving IT transformation through business.
“I will be working closely with the top management at Fabindia to ensure improved efficiency and productivity, supply chain and most importantly customer experience by improving its current systems, and further implementing new technologies for making the brand ready for future exponential growth,” Mehta said.
Mehta has over 20 years of vast experience working with companies like Trent Hypermart, Reliance Retail, and Johnson & Johnson.
With 327 stores across 118 cities in India and 14 international stores, Fabindia Overseas Private Limited is India’s largest retail platform for a wide range of products produced by artisans living largely in rural areas. The product range extends from a large variety of apparel for men, women and children to home furnishings, furniture, gifts, jewellery, organic food and personal care products.
