Gap, the American worldwide clothing retail major, announced that Tremayne Bess has re-joined the company as VP – HR for the Strategic Growth Office (SGO).
“After a little over [two] years with Splunk, today was my first day rejoining a company that’s always had a piece of my heart even since departing five years ago. I am excited, nervous, humbled and honoured to join Gap as the VP of HR for the Strategic Growth Office (SGO),” Tremayne Bess, VP of HR – SGO, Gap, wrote in a post.
Bess joins Gap from software company Splunk where he most recently served as Director – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Business Partner. He began his first stint with Gap in 2012 as Senior Human Resource Manager – IT and made it to the role of Global Human Resources Director and Co-President of Employee Resource Group – Corporate Functions before joining LinkedIn in 2016.
An alumnus of Missouri State University and Bethune-Cookman College, Bess had earlier worked with MidPen Housing Corporation, Kaiser Permanente, Wal-Mart Stores, Prime, among others. His expertise includes Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), Strategic Talent Planning, Workforce Development, Leadership Development, etc.
