IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance Company has appointed Mr. Yogesh Lohiya as the MD & CEO. Yogesh succeeds Mr S. Narayanan, who attained superannuation.
Prior to this – Mr Lohiya served as Chairman and Managing Director of General Insurance Corporation of India. He had been the Chairman & MD for GIC since 2007. Prior to joining the insurance industry as a Direct Recruit Officer in in The Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. (OICL) in October 1977, he had a short stint in the manufacturing sector. He had a three decade stint in OICL. Mr. Lohiya is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh and an Associate of the Insurance Institute of India.
