Private lender Karur Vysya Bank Limited has appointed S Kalyanram as Chief Risk Officer of the company, with effect from September 1, 2022.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “We wish to inform that Shri S Kalyanram has been designated as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of the Bank with effect from 01.09.2022 in terms of Reserve Bank of India’s Circular, as the incumbent – Shri Shekhar Ramarajan is moving to Business Vertical within the Bank.”
S. Kalyanram is a Post Graduate in Physics and also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) with more than 3 decades of extensive credit exposure with State Bank of India (SBI) where he handled assignments in various areas of credit risk having held diverse positions of Credit Analyst, Chief Manager (Credit), AGM & Relationship Manager (Mid Corporate Group) and DGM (SME) at SBI’s Corporate Centre at Mumbai. He also served as a Deputy General Manager (Module) and DGM & Circle Credit Officer in one of the Circles of SBI, the statement said.
In his immediately previous role, he served as General Manager (SME) at SBI’s Corporate Centre, Mumbai where he was responsible for the growth of the Bank’s MSME Portfolio and also it’s asset quality.
