KPMG in India has announced key strategic changes within its senior leadership team. As a part of the changes Ambarish Dasgupta has been appointed as the new head of Management Consulting business and Shalini Pillay, has been appointed as Head – Human Resources for KPMG India.
Ambarish Dasgupta, has been appointed as the new head of Management Consulting. Ambarish has around 25 years of rich experience in Business Consulting, IT consulting and Implementation and Outsourcing. He has been managing large Strategy, Process, People and IT enabled reengineering and business transformation projects. Prior to joining KPMG, he has had a 15 year stint with PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Limited (PwC). At PWC he was also the member of the India Leadership Team. His appointment has been effective 18 February 2013. Commenting on the development, Richard Rekhy, Chief Executive Officer, KPMG in India said, “I am delighted to welcome Ambarish into this new role at KPMG in India. Given our increased
focus on the consulting business, I am confident that Ambarish’s able and proven leadership will help steer Management Consulting practice to achieve its true potential.”
Shalini Pillay, has been appointed as Head – Human Resources for KPMG in India. Having spent nine years with the Firm now, Shalini would be instrumental in charting the road map for KPMG’s People Agenda in India. She will manage all the aspects of the HR function, encompassing manpower planning, organization design and development, talent management, learning and development, performance management, rewards and recognition and employee relations.
KPMG in India had recently announced Vikram Hosangady, as the Head of Private Equity. Vikram will also continue to head the transaction services practice, where he holds the merit of working on over 150 transactions both in India and overseas.
