Kingfisher Airlines Executive Vice President Hitesh Patel has put in his papers. Patel, with over 30 years of experience in civil aviation, was a key member of the start-up team responsible launch of Kingfisher Airlines in 2005, having joined in August 2004. He is one of the longest serving employees and has continued with the airline despite the various issues faced by the airline. He has also was active in the airlines interaction with DGCA and prospective investors.
There is no confirmation on the acceptance of his resignation by the company. Earlier on he has worked in the US with JetBlue Airways as Director (Technical Operations) and with Continental Airlines as Manager (Technical Operations) . At Kingfisher he was in charge of engineering and maintenance, flight operations, network planning, fleet planning, technical training, corporate affairs, budgeting and administrative affairs of the airline.
As per report in a leading daily (ET) – it is learnt that – "Hitesh Patel is returning home to New York and will take a much-needed break before resuming work elsewhere. It was not easy facing the ire of employees and scores of other agencies, who have not been paid for months,".
