KMS Medisurgi Limited announced the resignation of Gaurang Prataprai Kanakia as Managing Director, effective immediately. The company has appointed Rekha Devang Kanakia as the new Managing Director for a period of five years.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “Pursuant to the provisions of Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirement) Regulations, 2015 [“SEBI LODR”], we wish to inform you that that the Nomination & Remuneration Committee and the Board of Directors at their respective meetings held today have noted the resignation submitted by Mr Gaurang Prataprai Kanakia citing personal reasons, from the position of Managing Director and Director of the Company effective today i.e 19th July 2021.”
“Further, the Board of Directors at its meeting held today, 19 July 2021 along with the recommendation of Nomination and Renumeration Committee, inter-alia, subject to the approval of the Shareholders, appointed Mrs Rekha Devang Kanakia,(Executive Director), as the Managing Director of the Company for a term of five years effective from 19th July 2021 and ending on 18th July, 2026,” the filing said.
Rekha Devang Kanakia has been associated with the Company as a Non Executive Non- Independent Director since 17th March 2016. Her Designation was changed to an Executive Director on the meeting held dated 29 June 2021.
Further, Rekha Devang Kanakia has over two decades of experience in the field of Healthcare Management. She is a strategist and a leader able to steer the company to the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission and long term goals, the company said in its statement.
