Lupin Limited the transnational pharmaceutical company based in Mumbai, announced the exit of the company’s Chief Financial Officer, Ramesh Swaminathan on Tuesday in a statement to the exchanges.
“We wish to inform that Ramesh Swaminathan, Chief Financial Officer of the Company has decided to pursue other responsibilities outside the pharmaceutical industry and will be leaving the organization in the month of December 2018,” said India’s second-largest drugmaker in an exchange filing.
Swaminathan joined Lupin in August 2007 and has been its executive director since October 27, 2015. Prior to Lupin, Swaminathan headed finance functions at German consumer goods company Henkel in various sub-regions.
The company is yet to announce a replacement for him.
“We thank him for his contributions to Lupin over the last 12 years and wish him success in his future endeavors”, the company said in a statement.
Lupin is the 12th-largest company by market capitalization and the eighth-largest generic pharmaceutical company by revenue globally.
On Tuesday shares of Lupin closed at Rs 849.05, up 0.50 percent in BSE.
