Kirloskar Systems Limited, a Kirloskar Group Company, announced the appointment of Manasi Tata to the Board of Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM).
Manasi Tata is the daughter of Vikram Kirloskar, chairman and managing director of Kirloskar Systems. She is the executive director and chief financial officer of Kirloskar Systems Ltd, and Director in Kirloskar Technologies Limited.
According to a media release, Vikram Kirloskar said that the appointment reflects the strong relationship and the continuance of the close bond between Toyota Group and the Kirloskar Systems Limited. Since its inception in 1997, the joint venture between the two companies has been making rapid strides for over 20 years and he looks forward to its continued success in the years ahead.
Appointed as the first United Nations in India Young Business Champion for the Sustainable Development Goals, Manasi Tata is also a trained painter and runs her own non-profit venture, Caring with Colour, the media release said.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited is an Indian joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation (89%) and Kirloskar Group (11%), for the manufacture and sales of Toyota cars in India.
