Next MediaWorks Limited announced the appointment of Ramesh Menon as Chief Executive Officer of the company, with effect from April 17, 2023. He succeeds Ajit Dheer, who has resigned from the role of CEO, w.e.f April 17, 2023.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “This is to inform that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held today, i.e. 3rd April, 2023 has, inter-alia, approved the appointment of Mr. Ramesh Menon as Chief Executive Officer (KMP under the Companies Act, 2013) of the Company w.e.f. 17th April, 2023.”
Menon is a Business Leader with over 3 decades and has held general management positions in family-owned businesses as well as global corporations in the FMCG, retail, manufacturing, telecom, and media sectors.
Menon is currently the Group CEO of Wingreens Farms. Previous to this, he was CEO of HT Media Group’s Radio Business, where he changed and pivoted the business to become a digital-led audio and music organisation, and before that, he was Chief Business Officer – Digital Innovation & New Business, where he launched many new products and platforms for HT Media Group.
Before joining HT Media in 2019 Menon worked in Future Retail as Small Format CEO (1.4 Years), HyperCITY Retail as CEO (2 Years), Reliance Communications as National Head GSM (2 Years), Airtel as Hub CEO (4.3 Years), PepsiCo as EVP Operations (5.2 Years) and organization of repute such as Nuerth Metals, Spenser’s Retail, Colgate Palmolive and ITC Limited.
Menon is PGDM from XLRI Jamshedpur (1990) and Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Vivekananda College, University of Madras (1987).
