ONGC appoints Madhav Singh to its Board of Directors

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), a Government of India-owned crude oil and natural gas corporation, announced the appointment of Dr. Madhav Singh to the company’s Board of Directors, effective February 2, 2022.

According to the company’s exchange filing, “It is hereby informed that Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Dr. Madhav Singh (DIN: 09489194) as Non-official Independent Director on 04.02.2022 and the said appointment is effective from 02.02.2022.”

Dr. Madhav Singh is a practicing Doctor by profession and also a Social Worker, a Debater and a Human Resource Management Coordinator. Dr. Madhav Singh acquired his Graduation Degree from Maharaja College Jaipur (Rajasthan University), where he held various posts in Student Union. He was also a NCC cadet during his student Life. Dr. Singh completed his MBBS degree from S.M.S. Medical College Jaipur. As a professional Doctor, he served in various hospitals of Delhi.

In 1991, Dr. Singh joined Government Service in Rajasthan and after serving 11 Years, took Voluntary Retirement from service in 2002. Subsequently, he settled in Shrimadhopur (Sikar) and has been actively involved in social services by providing Medical services to underprivileged people. Dr. Singh is associated with Rotary International, where he held position of Assistant Governor (Rajasthan and Gujarat) and was also President of Rotary Club Shrimadhopur (Sikar).

Dr. Singh has worked for various welfare activities like Blood donation camps, free eye operation camps, multispecialty Medical Mega camps, Homeopathy Medical Camps and had performed over 25,000 deliveries till now. For his contribution to society, Dr. Singh has been honored several times at District and State level by the Government of Rajasthan.

Dr. Singh has been awarded with best Rotarian by Jaipur Rotary Club, Matdata Jagruk Award by District Magistrate and occasions of Republic Day and Independence Day. Dr. Singh has attended more then 100 plus National and State level Conferences. In COVID-19 epidemic, he started 24 hrs Helpline services on which he personally attended all calls and extended services of medicines, Oxygen, accommodations and counseled them regularly till date.
