Pharmaceutical company Pfizer Limited announced that S. Sridhar has resigned from the role of Managing Director of the company.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “Pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the Company hereby wishes to notify that Mr. S. Sridhar, Managing Director, has expressed his intention to take an early retirement and has tendered his resignation as the Managing Director of the Company. Mr. Sridhar will continue to serve in his current position of Managing Director for as long a period as required until the identification, selection and transition to the new leadership takes place in the Company.”
Over the past 14 years, Sridhar has led a number of key leadership positions in Pfizer Limited, including serving as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer for a period of 8 years. Over the past 6 years, Sridhar has led Pfizer Limited as the Company’s Managing Director and made significant contributions to the growth of the Company’s portfolio, presence across India and reach to patients who have benefited from access to Pfizer therapies.
Sridhar has also served as the Co-Chair of the FICCI Pharmaceuticals Committee and currently also serves as the President of the Organization of Pharmaceuticals Producers of India (OPPI).
