General Insurance Corporation of India Limited, an Indian nationalised reinsurance company, has appointed Priya Bhushan Sharma to its Board of Directors.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “we wish to inform you that the Ministry of Finance vide Letter eF. No. A15011/ 11/2021-Ins.l dated 22nd March 2022 has conveyed that the Central Government, in exercise of its powers under Article No. 76 of the Articles of Association of the Corporation appointed Shri Priya Bhushan Sharma as part-time non-official Director on the Board of the Corporation for a period of three years from the date of the letter, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.”
Priya Bhushan Sharma is a Chartered Accountant having more than thirty years of experience and a qualified and registered insolvency professional. He is a certified Information System Auditor (DISA), a certified Concurrent Auditor from ICAI and also certified in Forensic Accounting & Fraud Detection. His areas of expertise include Audit, Taxation, Corporate Law, Dispute Resolution through Arbitration etc. He is a director in 3B Wellness and Resorts Pvt Ltd and 3B Infrastructure Private Limited and was a director of Chandigarh Club Ltd. He is also actively involved with number of NGOs.
