The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has appointed Rajesh Kumar Singh as CHRO for the government sponsored InvIT (Infra Investment Trust). He will be reporting to MD and CEO Suresh Goyal, according to ETHRWorld report. Singh joined NHAI InvIT on March 8.
“I am fortunate that I have got an opportunity to associate with such a prestigious project and serve the nation,” said Rajesh Kumar Singh, CHRO, NHAI InvIT, said.
Before joining NHAI InvIT, Singh had spearheaded HR functions for Indian and African continent while working for Caterpillar Rail for three years as Country HR Manager. He began his professional journey with Paras Group, known for its brand Paras Dairy products, and also worked with global eye-wear brand Ray-Ban in the initial stages of his career.
He later joined Tata Projects, the infrastructure arm of Tata Group and headed global HR operations for one of the strategic business units for over a decade.
Singh has an MBA from Guru Jambheshwar University and completed a programme in Leadership and Management from IIM, Calcutta.
In December 2019, the Union cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi authorized NHAI to set-up the first government-sponsored InvIT resulting in NHAI incorporated National Highways Infra Investment Managers Private Limited to monetise its completed and operational national highways projects to mobilize additional resources through capital markets.
