Lionsgate, a California-based global content company that offers feature films, television programs, and digital content to consumers around the world, has promoted Rohit Jain to the role of Managing Director, South Asia and Networks – Emerging Markets Asia.
In his new role, Jain will be responsible for shepherding growth across all of Lionsgate’s South Asian businesses and expanding the Starz premium subscription platform throughout the emerging markets of Asia, according to a statement.
Since Lionsgate opened its first office in India in 2018 under his leadership, Rohit Jain has spearheaded the growth of its Asian operations by launching the Lionsgate Play streaming service across multiple Emerging Asian markets including India, establishing strategic partnerships with major telcos, broadband services, OEMs and global streaming platforms.
Prior to this, Rohit Jain was Deputy CEO of Videocon d2h, and had served in leadership roles in global companies like Hewitt Associates, PricewaterhouseCoopers. Rohit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from University of Delhi, and certified in Forex Management and Capital Markets from ICAI.
