Ross Levinsohn, who held the position of Interim CEO for Yahoo Inc. after the exit of Scot Thompson, has reportedly quit. This move was anticipated by some, and comes two weeks post the appointment of Marissa Mayer as CEO by Yahoo Inc. After the exit of Scot Thompson, while the company board was on look out for a new CEO, Ross Levinsohn, was once considered to be a prime contender for the top job.
Ross, has been Head of Global Media and Executive Vice President at Yahoo! Inc. since May 2012. In his role as head of global media for Yahoo, he has been responsible for all aspects of Yahoo!’s digital media business, including the vision, strategy, product, partnerships, engineering, and content. He has been with Yahoo, since November 2010.
