Saibaba Vutukuri appointed as Vikram Solar’s new CEO

Founder Gyanesh Chaudhary to remain MD and focus on new ventures.

Leading solar rooftop solutions provider, Vikram Solar recently announced that the company has appointed industry veteran Saibaba Vutukuri as Chief Executive Officer.

In an official press release, the company said, “This announcement comes in at an important juncture, marking the next phase of growth at Vikram Solar.”

Post the appointment of Saibaba, Founder Gyanesh Chaudhary will retain his position as the Managing Director of the company. With Saibaba working as the CEO, Chaudhary will reportedly take on a more strategic role involving portfolio diversification, key strategic initiatives, and future ventures.

A Copenhagen Business School alumnus, Saibaba has more than 3 decades of industry experience, with more than two decades spent in the wind and solar sector. Saibaba joins Vikram Solar post serving as the President and CEO of Inox Wind Ltd for four years. Prior to joining Inox, Saibaba had worked with Infratech company Lanco as CEO of its Solar Business. He also held leadership positions in several organizations, including Business Head/Chief Executive, India Business (South and East) and South East Asia markets at Suzlon Energy Ltd among other leadership roles.

Commenting on Saibaba’s appointment, Gyanesh Chaudhary said, “Sai’s knowledge and experience will be an extremely valuable asset to Vikram Solar. His wide experience in solar manufacturing, corporate affairs, and international markets will help us to further strengthen our leadership position in the renewable sector. I will be supporting Sai in the transition process during the first half of the year to ensure a seamless experience for all our internal and external stakeholders.”
