Samsung Electronics has appointed Vineet Taneja as Country Head for Mobile and Digital Imaging. Vineet is an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in various leadership roles in companies including Hindustan Lever Ltd., Nokia India and Bharti Airtel.
In his previous stint Vineet was Operations Director for South India & Srilanka at Bharti Airtel Ltd. He was responsible for managing all lines of business , that is , Mobile , Fixed Line Voice , DSL and DTH (Digital TV) at Airtel for South India and Sri Lanka. He is credited with successfully leading the launch of 3G and driving the data and devices business for Airtel in its key geographies of South India. He also successfully led the Bharti Airtel business in Sri Lanka. He had close to 3 year stint with Bharti Airtel, and has in the past been with Nokia India, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. He is an IIM Calcutta alumni, and had started his career with HUL, in 1989. His career has encompassed roles in product & portfolio planning, business operations, retail and customer marketing across diverse product & business segments.
