Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, an Indian government-owned oil and gas corporation, announced the appointment of Sanjay Khanna as Additional Director and Director (Refineries), with effect from February 22, 2022.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “we hereby inform you that Shri Sanjay Khanna, ED(ln-Charge) Refineries has been appointed as additional Director and Director (Refineries) by the Board at its meeting held on 22.2.2022 for a period of five years with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post or till the date of his superannuation or until further orders whichever is earliest, in terms of letter dated 22.2.2022 from the MoP&NG.”
Sanjay Khanna, is a Chemical Engineering graduate from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli and Post Graduate in Finance Management from Mumbai University.
In his tenure spanning over 30 years, he has gained extensive experience in Refineries operations, Technical Services etc. and had been instrumental in conceptualizing and setting up of new plants and commissioning several units at Mumbai and Numaligarh Refineries. He was also heading BPCL Kochi Refinery in the past two years. He is also a Director on the Board of Bharat Oman Refineries Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of BPCL. He is not related to any of the Directors in the Company, the statement said.
