R Sridhar, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for Shriram Capital has stepped down from his full-time executive role in the company. Sridhar, has been with Shriram Group for the last 28 years in various roles and predominantly as the CEO in its flagship NBFC Shriram Transport Finance Company.
He would however continue to work on various strategic projects of the group as a member of Shriram Ownership Trust. In a statement he said – “I will continue with the company in a non-executive position and not quit the company,” he added. He had been the CEO of Shriram Transport Finance Company for 12 years and has contributed to the leadership position of the company amongst NBFCs in India.
