Private insurer Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance Co Ltd (SUD) appointed Girish Kulkarni as managing director and chief executive.
Mr. Kulkarni replaces Kamalji Sahay, who was the first managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) for the past four years and got retired last week.
Mr. Kulkarni was most recently the General Manager of United Arab Emirates Generali. Mr. Kulkarni has also worked with Future Generali Life Insurance, India and at SBI Life Insurance earlier.
SUD Life is a joint venture of two public sector banks ‘Bank of India’, ‘Union Bank of India’, and a leading Japanese Company in the Life Insurance market Dai-ichi Life Insurance Co. Ltd. It came into existence in September 2007.
