StoveKraft, the Sequoia backed, kitchen appliances company, has appointed Rajiv Mehta as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Rajiv, is a seasoned retail professional and has had senior and leadership level stints with some leading brands. He has earlier been with Puma as the Managing Director, and Arvind Fashion Brands Ltd & Arvind Sports Lifestyle Ltd as CEO.
Stove Kraft, which was launched in 1999, primarily offers hobs, cooktops, non-stick cookware, LPG gas stoves, chimneys and induction cooktops under Pigeon and Gilma brands. The company also has a licencing agreement with US-based Black & Decker Corporation for their entire product range in India.
As the CEO, Rajiv would be driving profitable growth, brand equity of the business and increasing the reach for the brands Pigeon, Pigeon LED, Gilma and Black and Decker.
Rajendra Gandhi, CMD, StoveKraft, mentioned in a media statement that “Mehta is an esteemed entrepreneur who has shown deep expertise in defining and executing high-impact growth strategies. He is well-acquainted with the working culture of large global brands, which puts him at the right position to take charge of reinforcing StoveKraft’s position as the market leader in the FMCD space.”
