Tesla Inc. looses two key executives, chief people officer & chief of accounting.

Tesla Inc., is facing the exit of its two senior executives. The news of exit of these executives comes while we have been seeing the video of Elon Musk smoking marijuana during an interview. The interview was streamed live online.

As per Bloomberg reports, Tesla’s Chief People Officer, Gaby Toledano, who had joined in May 2017 is leaving the company. She had been on a leave of absence for last month and is not joining back.  Prior to Gaby, Arnnon Geshuri, had led HR at Tesla for more than eight years. 

Gaby Toledano, had joined Tesla as Chief People Officer, leading Human Resources and Facilities, reporting into Elon Musk. Earlier she was with  Electronic Arts  for about 10 years, and prior to EA she was with Siebel Systems. She had earlier held  HR leadership positions at both Microsoft and Oracle.

Tesla’s Chief Accounting Officer, Dave Morton who had joined last month has also resigned this week (4th September). In a statement in Tesla’s recent 8K filing, Morton says he left Tesla because of “the level of public attention placed on the company.”

He said – “As a result, this caused me to reconsider my future. I want to be clear that I believe strongly in Tesla, its mission and its future prospects, and I have no disagreements with Tesla’s leadership or its financial reporting.”

Dave Morton, had joined Tesla from Seagate Technologies, where he was Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. He had been with Seagate for over 20 years.
