Vardhman Textiles Limited, a manufacturer of cotton yarn, synthetic yarn, woven fabric, sewing thread, acrylic fibre, tow, and garments, announced the appointment of Udeypaul Singh Gill as an Additional Director to its Board of Directors, effective January 22, 2022.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “this is to inform you that the Board of Directors in its meeting held today (i.e. 22nd January, 2022), has appointed Mr. Udeypaul Singh Gill as an Additional Director (Independent) on the Board of the Company for a term of three (3) years w.e.f. 22nd January, 2022 and his appointment is subject to approval of Members.”
Udeypaul Singh Gill is BSc (Honours) Economics and Masters in Business Administration, from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. He is Executive Director and Group Chief Strategy Officer of Indorama Ventures Limited (IVL), a Company Listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The Indorama Group is having 16 revenue streams, comprising of packaging, fibres and industrial chemicals and 124 manufacturing sites in 33 countries in five continents. He has been working with Indorama Group since 2007 and is presently responsible for corporate transformation functions including Sustainability, Digitalisation, Indorama Excellence, Environment, Health and Safety.
Before joining IVL, he has worked on key positions with various renowned Companies such as Reliance Industries Limited, Pepsico, Shriram Chemicals, Bank of Baroda, etc. He has a rich experience in mergers and acquisitions, business model enhancement, restructuring and turnaround, banking and international counter trade, etc.
