Visteon appoints Wei Wei as Managing Director for Visteon China

Visteon Corporation announced Wei Wei is appointed managing director, Visteon China, effective March 1. He replaces William Lau, who is appointed vice president, product delivery, in China.

In his new role, Wei leads all aspects of Visteon’s business in China and is responsible for driving further growth, reporting directly to Bob Vallance, senior vice president, customer business groups and marketing. 

Speaking on the appointment, Bob Vallance, SVP, Customer Business Groups & Marketing, said: “Wei Wei’s deep knowledge of market opportunities in China will further elevate our customer relationships and help move our business forward in this key strategic region. We believe Wei’s leadership will have an important impact on delivering our customer commitments, growing our key talent and successfully managing Visteon China’s financial performance.”

Previously, Wei was vice president, Visteon, and general manager, Yanfeng Visteon Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd., a joint venture in China. He has more than 30 years of automotive industry experience, including positions in sales and marketing, strategy planning, manufacturing and program management. Wei began his career at OEMs, later working to develop electrical, electronic and electrification solutions for Tier 1 manufacturers. He had various leadership assignments at multiple global leading Tier 1 suppliers, including positions in sales and marketing and general management.

Commenting on his appointment, Wei Wei, managing director, Visteon China, said: “This is a year of opportunity and significant change both for our company and the automotive industry as a whole. Visteon China will continue delivering fully integrated digital cockpit solutions to OEMs that help them enhance the user experience. We will also provide automakers with technologies that support the growing electric vehicle market and the industry’s need for advanced driver assistance systems.”

Visteon China brings advanced technologies and high-quality products to vehicle manufacturers, delivering a rich, safe and convenient driving experience to end users. Visteon China serves the market through joint ventures, including 10 manufacturing facilities, four technology centers and one customer service center.
