Vodafone India, one of the leading telecom players in the Indian telecom market has announced changes in its top management. Subsequent to the changes – Sunil Sood, has taken over as the new COO (chief operating officer) of the company. Sanjoy Mukherjee would be the chief commercial officer (CCO).
As per the new structure – the overall business would be organized as four regional zones – North, East, West and South, with a director responsible for each zone. Rajiv Kohli would head North, Sanjay Warke would head East, Rohit Adya would head the West and BP Singh would head the South zone. The zonal directors would be reporting to Sunil Sood.
As stated by Vodafone India MD and CEO Marten Pieters – the changes “will allow for better opportunities for our teams to take on larger roles and prepare ourselves for the future”. As per an internal announcement – the changes are aimed towards maintaining – “a better balance between operational intensity and the need to focus on emerging areas”.
