Sanjoy Mukherjee (Chief Commercial Officer – Vodafone), and Samaresh Parida (Special Projects – Vodafone), are on their way to exit Vodafone Indian Operations (Source: ET ). It is reported that their exits follow the restructuring and subsequent role changes that took place.
Sanjoy Mukherjee, who was earlier heading Vodafone India’s operations in North & East, was elevated to the position of Chief Commercial Officer with a responsibility of sales & marketing, branding, customer service and channel management. Samaresh, had earlier been handling the role of director strategy and post the restructuring his role seems to have been diluted.
Sonjoy Mukherjee an IIT Mumbai alumni, has been with Vodafone for about 12 years, where in he has been in the role of Operations Director, and recently he was elevated as the Chief Commercial Officer. Earlier he was the CEO, for Hutchinson Telecom, which got acquired by Vodafone. Prior to his tenure in telecom, he had spent about 10 years with PepsiCo in various roles.
Samaresh Parida an IIM Ahmedabad alumni and a CA, has been with Vodafone, for last 4 years. Earlier he has been with PepsiCo, in various roles – CEO, Director Finance. In his over 25 years of experience he has handled finance, operations and strategy roles. He has also worked for Accenture and Toyota earlier on in his career.
