Weatherford appoints Girish K Saligram as President, CEO and Director

Weatherford, a leader in well and production concepts, announced that its board of directors has appointed Girish K. Saligram as President and CEO of the company, effective October 12, 2020. Saligram will also join as a board member. 

Prior to this role, Saligram served as the executive director of Exterran Corporation, and prior to that, he served as director of global services after joining the company in 2016. Prior to Exterran Corporation, Saligram spent 20 years with GE in positions of increasing responsibility as functional and business leader in industrial sectors around the world, most recently as General Manager, Downstream Products & Services for GE Oil & Gas. Prior to that, Saligram led GE’s contractual oil and gas business based in Florence, Italy. Prior to eight years in the oil and gas sector, Saligram spent 12 years with GE Healthcare in engineering, services, operations and other commercial functions.

Following the appointment of Saligram, Karl Blanchard, Temporary General Manager, will resume his role as Vice President and Chief Executive Officer.
