Ankur Prakash, Wipro Ltd’s vice-president, manufacturing strategic business unit and Latin America, has quit the firm according to a Mint article.
Ankur is not the only person to leave the IT firm in the past few months, earlier last month Wipro’s healthcare and life sciences head Jeffrey Heenan Jalil left the firm due to some unknown reasons.
Ankur was one of the was one of eight executives from Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, to join Wipro after Abidali Neemuchwala took over as Wipro’s chief operating officer in April 2015.
Anand Padmanabhan, president and global head of strategic sales and geographies, will be taking care of the Latin American business, while the Communications head and president Milan Rao will oversee manufacturing.
A Wipro spokesperson confirmed the developments to Mint. “Ankur Prakash has resigned from the company after deciding to take a career break.”
When we visited the firm’s official leadership page to check Ankur Prakash’s column it was already removed, which further confirms the news.
An official press release from Wipro is expected soon.
