Zuari Global, an agri-inputs firm and a part of the Adventz Group, announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Athar Shahab as Managing Director, effective February 15. Shahab previously held the post of Joint Managing Director of the company.
Shahab has more than 32 years of experience across project finance, strategy, business development, advisory, investment, project management, operations, M&A, turnaround and general management, according to a statement.
He has worked as CEO at organisations like Vedanta Group, Uniquest Infra Ventures and Nabha Power. He has also worked with L&T as Head – Corporate Strategy, IDFC as Deputy Managing Director, AES Corp as Country Head – Infrastructure, and Ithmaar Bank as Senior Manager – Investment Banking.
Shahab holds a PG Diploma in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur with specialisation in Finance and Marketing. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from VSS University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla.
