Accenture has agreed to acquire Einr AS, a Norwegian business consulting company specialized in high volume logistics solutions using SAP technologies to optimize the flow of products from manufacturers to consumers.
The acquisition will further enhance Accenture’s SAP capabilities, helping it accelerate supply chain reinvention for organizations within the retail and consumer electronics industries. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, the statement said.
Founded in 2015, Einr is headquartered in Oslo, Norway. Once the acquisition is completed, its 42 employees will join the Accenture SAP Business Group in the Nordics. With specific competencies in retail and supply chain management, transportation management, warehouse management and assortment planning, Einr’s employees will bolster Accenture’s SAP offerings in the market, according to the statement.
“In times of disruption, organizations need to reinvent their supply chains to meet rapidly changing customer expectations, grow and become more profitable,” said Emma McGuigan, senior managing director and Enterprise & Industry Technologies lead at Accenture. “With the acquisition of Einr, we will strengthen our SAP supply chain and logistics capabilities, which help our clients move to more responsive, resilient and sustainable supply chains.”
Per Atle Steinsland, managing director, Einr AS, added, “For the past eight years, we have delivered high volume logistics, retail and supply chain management solutions that helped our clients transform and grow within their industries. Together with Accenture, we will be able to deliver these highly specialized capabilities at scale, while creating exciting new development opportunities for our people.”
“The agreement to acquire Einr shows Accenture’s commitment to serve as our clients’ preferred partner in end-to-end SAP transformations and supply chain reinvention,” said Carsten Sachmann, Accenture’s Nordic lead. “The combined strength of Accenture and Einr’s experienced SAP business consultants will further enhance our market position with clients and SAP in the Nordic countries.”
