Suven Pharmaceuticals acquires Hyderabad-based Caper Pharma

Suven Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL) announced the acquisition of 100 per cent stake in Caper Pharma Pvt. Ltd. (CPPL) for about Rs 155 crores. Post acquisition, Caper Pharma will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Suven Pharmaceuticals.

According to the company’s exchange filing, “we wish to inform you that the Board of Directors of Suven Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL) in its meeting held today i.e., 5th April, 2022 at 10.30 a.m. has approved the investments by way of purchase of entire (100%) share capital from the existing shareholders of Casper Pharma Private Limited (“CPPL”) a Hyderabad based SEZ company engaged in formulations business.”

Caper Pharma Pvt. Ltd. is incorporated on 13th January, 2016 in India and has set up USFDA inspection ready plant in GMR Aviation SEZ in Hyderabad engaged in the business of formulations.

Suven Pharmaceuticals was incorporated as a public limited company under the Companies Act, 2013, in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, pursuant to a certificate of incorporation dated November 6, 2018 issued by the Registrar of Companies, Telangana, at Hyderabad.
