The Ayurveda Company (TAC), a direct-to-consumer (D2C) beauty and wellness brand, has raised $3 million from Wipro Consumer Care Ventures, Rahul Gupta of Tricity Technologies, and Harsh Gupta of School of Design & Entrepreneurship, according to ETtech report.
The maiden fundraise will help TAC in ramping up growth, production capabilities and venture into the retail sector in the next 12-15 months.
“TAC will be gearing up to grow north of Rs 100 crore turnover, boost team and technology, expand market share, and strengthen its footing in the D2C space,” said founder Param Bhargava.
“This partnership with Wipro will help us accomplish our goals and build a Legacy Ayurvedic Brand from India for the World,” Bhargava said. TAC was founded in June 2021, after Bhargava and Shreedha Singh established the beauty brand Khadi Essentials three years back.
Apart from directly selling from its D2C website, TAC products are also housed at Amazon, Nykaa, Flipkart, Myntra, PharmEasy, 1MG and Zepto.
TAC has already initiated its retail network across leading markets, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Chennai, the company said in a statement.
