Dubdub.ai, an AI-powered dubbing platform, has raised $1 million in funding from Waveform Ventures and Accel Atoms.
Other investors that participated in the funding round include Forward Slash Capital, Force Ventures, Aprameya Radhakrishna (Founder, Koo), Nishant Mungali (founder, Mindtickle), Deepak Anchala (founder, Slintel), Swati Mohan(ex-head of marketing, Netflix) among others.
Founded in 2021 by Anubhav Singh, Rahul Sankhwar, Rahul Garg and Anchal Jaiswal, the startup will utilise the fresh funds to build technical expertise in the team and validate several use cases for global customers.
“We want to make the most of the growing demand for localized content by automating parts of the dubbing process with AI. With our end-to-end platform, content owners and studios can get results in weeks rather than months, so dubbing projects are completed faster. Further, it uses just a few minutes of the actors’ voices – making the dubbed version sound more authentic”, said Singh.
“As video content is increasing exponentially and becoming more pervasive to the pan Indian user base, we strongly believe that DubDub’s product will become the norm in building inclusive content in a scalable manner. With the team’s passion for the problem and their experience in building and commercializing AI-based solutions, we are also excited about the potential global impact of their product,” said Subrata Mitra, partner at Accel.
