Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced that CRN Magazine has presented its Women in Channel “Woman of the Year” Award to Seeta Hariharan, General Manager, and Group Head, TCS Digital Software & Solutions Group (DS&S).
The inaugural Women in Channel Awards recognize the achievements of entrepreneurs, leaders and exceptional employees who act as role models for young women considering careers in the IT industry.
Accepting the award, Seeta Hariharan, said, “I want to thank CRN for recognizing the work we have done in building an independent software business that sells through our partners. As a kid growing up in the southern part of India, I was taught that if I truly believed in myself I would have the confidence to live my dreams.”
“For women in technology careers, self-confidence is like rocket fuel; it can propel us to extraordinary heights. And when we combine that with digital technology, we have the potential to make this world a better place and aligned with our values,” she added.
TCS has had a formal Diversity & Inclusion corporate function since 2010. TCS employs over 145,000 women globally, more than a third of its total workforce. The company also invests in training to help women at all levels excel in their roles, including one-to-one coaching when they take up senior roles, a Rising Stars Program for women with three-to-five years of experience, and the Pathways to Success Workshop, a leadership programme for women with five-to-eight years’ experience.
