The “Favour” test to decide on accepting a LinkedIn connection.
Every day you log on to LinkedIn to find tons of invites and connect requests waiting for you. In the initial phase when you were new to LinkedIn or wanted to increase your network count you probably would click – okay on every invite. Over a period of time you would have thought if you should confirm on a LinkedIn invite or let it pass. In her blog Alexandra Samuel talks about a simple approach that may be considered before adding a connection – “The favor test is simple: Would you do a favor for this person, or ask a favor of them? If so, make the connection. If not, take a pass.”

Indian CEO’s get the boot.
With the exit of Raj Jain, WalMart India and Manu Anand, PepsiCo India at the drop of a hat, it is further validated that Indian CEO’s are also consistently under scrutiny for performance and conduct. Showing the door to a CEO seems to be a normal affair these days, and businesses in India seems to be aligned to the thought. This seems more true for the MNC’s that have started regarding India as a key driver for growth and business.
