Former President and Chief Operating Officer of Times Global Broadcasting, Nikhil Gandhi, has been appointed as India head for TikTok. Tiktok is an iOS and Android social media video app for creating and sharing short lip-sync, comedy, and talent videos and was launched in 2017 by ByteDance. It has over 200 million users.
Nikhil will be leading the development of TikTok’s products and operations in India.
Nikhil mentioned in a statement to media – “I am excited to be part of TikTok’s journey in India at a time when it is strengthening its overall presence in the country and building a platform that enables creative expression.”
Prior to taking up the TikTok assignment, Nikhil has worked for over 20 years in leading media & entertainment brands like – The Walt Disney, UTV Global Broadcasting and Viacom Media Networks.
Most recently, he was spearheading the business growth at Times Global Broadcasting as President and Chief Operating Officer.
