Mahindra Satyam – Starting Over

Last year Mahindra Satyam, had kicked off its starting over initiative, that was aimed at tapping the talent from the pool of women professionals, who were looking at restarting their career after a break or a career gap resulting from personal reasons. The effort was aimed at talent across Asia Pacific and India regions.

The selection procedure for ‘Starting Over’ is as per the corporate norms, although candidates are evaluated based on their potential rather than just their previous experience. Various training programmes are also provided for them to re-orient them to corporate processes.

“Women make a significant part of the technology workforce today and ‘Starting Over’ is novel way of honing that talent base effectively. ‘Starting Over’ nurtures the talent right from the initial application stage and ensures opportunities to all candidates by offering three employment avenues: internship and part time or full time employment,” –  Suresh Samudrala, Head HR, Asia Pacific, and Mahindra Satyam.
