Anjan Lahiri, President & Head of MindTree’s IT Services Business has quit post an organizational restructuring. MindTree moves to a new organization structure effective 1st July 2013. Under the present structure, Anjan had been heading the IT Services business and S Janakiraman had been heading the Product & Engineering business.
Anjan would continue as a consultant & advisor to MindTree for some time, post which he would pursue opportunities out side the company. He is expected to look at opportunities beyond the software outsourcing sector. Anjan Lahiri has been a part of the MindTree starting team.
As per MindTree’s new organisation structure, S. Janakiraman, who has been the President & Head of Product & Engineering business would take over as company’s President & Chief Technology Officer for all businesses.
On Anjan’s resignation, Krishnakumar Natarajan, Co-founder, CEO & Managing Director said - “Anjan played a crucial role in helping MindTree to a position that we are in today. Anjan played a pivotal role in setting up and rapidly growing the MindTree’s European operations and helped setup our New Jersey and San Jose offices. As the president and head of ITS, Anjan took the business to greater levels, now comparable to some of the large players.”.
