Smriti Singh, SVP and CHRO for e-commerce major Flipkart has quit. Her separation comes after an almost one year stint with the company. She had joined the company end of 2018. It is learnt that the news of her separation has been announced in an internal communication by CEO Krishnamurthy.
She took charge at a time when the CHRO position had been vacant for almost 18 months, and the company was in a transition and reorganisation phase post the Walmart acquisition.
Before her appointment as the CHRO at Flipkart, Smriti was VP and Head HR for Sony Pictures. Earlier she has worked with Xerox, Genpact, NBC Universal and GE Healthcare.
Prior to her, Nitin Seth, the then COO at Flipkart was heading the HR function, and with his exit CEO Krishnamurthy held additional charge of HR function.
