Emeritus, an edtech company that offers online certificates and programs in collaboration with the world’s best schools, announced the elevation of Ganesh S as its Global Chief Human Resource Officer.
In this new role, he will be responsible for all aspects of Emeritus’ employee and workplace operations, talent management, pay and benefits, global recruiting, as well as continue to lead Emeritus’ response to the impact of Covid-19 on its workforce, according to ETHRWorld report.
His appointment comes at a time when Emeritus is scaling and growing rapidly across the globe to support the vital need to upskill and reskill the workforce across all sectors coming out of the pandemic, according to a statement.
Ganesh S is a senior Human Resource leader who is passionate about building sustainable institutions and transforming mission-driven organizations. With close to 20 years of HR experience across diverse industries like BFSI, Telecom and Edtech, he brings extensive knowledge across the HR spectrum ranging from complex end-to-end HR strategy development, driving key talent decisions, embedded organisational values, regional compliances and culture transformation journey.
Prior to joining Emeritus, he has worked with corporates including Citi, HSBC Bank and Bharti Airtel. Under Ganesh S’s tenure of two and a half years at Emeritus, the team has grown extensively, doubling the overall team size in the last 12 months. He is also responsible for leading the development of innovative initiatives including the launch of Emeritus’ Instructional Design Academy, a training program to cultivate talent and create career opportunities to bridge the gap between those who want to join the online learning revolution and the dearth of professional training available in India.
