KPMG appoints Judd Caplain as Global Head of Financial Services

KPMG has announced that Judd Caplain has been selected as the next Global Head of Financial Services, effective 1 April. He succeeds Jim Liddy who will retire after leading the global practice since 2017.

Judd joined KPMG nearly 20 years ago and became the Global Head of Banking & Capital Markets in December 2017. In addition, Judd has also served as the Global Lead Partner for an American financial institution and has held a number of leadership roles within KPMG’s US firm, including National Advisory Industry leader for Banking.

“I want to thank Jim for his leadership and outstanding contributions to our organization during a successful and long-standing career”, said Gary Reader, Global Head of Clients and Markets.

“Today’s business environment is incredibly challenging and being able to build cross-border teams that offer diverse perspectives while encouraging the development of outcome-focused solutions for clients is exactly what is needed.  I am confident that Judd will build on Jim’s legacy to ensure KPMG firms remain innovative and work together to stay ahead of clients’ needs,” he added.

“I am proud to have served in this role, working with incredible clients and colleagues to focus on those issues that matter most to the Financial Services industry. I am confident that Judd will take the community forward with purpose, focus and commitment,” said Jim Liddy.

When asked on his vision for the future, Judd replied, “I am very excited to build on the success of our global practice and will to continue to position KPMG firms as the premier professional services providers in Financial Services.”
