Malcolm Frank to head new service line of Cognizant

IT services firm Cognizant announced that it has created a new service line, Digital Business and Technology (DBT), by merging the two service lines Digital Business and Digital Systems and Technology, ET said in its report.

Malcolm Frank, who was earlier heading Cognizant’s Digital Business Unit, will head the new service line. Gregory Hyttenrauch, who was earlier heading Digital Systems and Technology is now President, North America.

Ganesh Ayyar will head Digital Business Operations, which was earlier called Digital Operations.

DBT includes new-age technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, cloud enablement, and core modernisation, which is in huge demand currently.

The new line aims to create a more agile working model, according to Humphries.

“With greater clarity about roles and responsibilities within our service lines and in relation to our commercial markets, we will reduce internal channel conflicts, improve our internal accountability and speed our execution,” Humphries said in the note.

“Our current service line structure in place for the past five years is no longer optimal for serving today’s primary buyers of technology or how they deploy technology to solve their business problems. Our new structure will be fully aligned to selling outcomes to business buyers with integrated offerings across applications, data and cloud,” Humphries added.
