Pathik Shah joins DB digital as Chief Executive Officer.

0_490_735_0_70_https___www.printweek.in_userfiles_ac783404-8469-4f6b-b67e-ec42e9002360DB Corp (DBCL), India’s largest print media company and home to flagship newspapers, Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, Divya Marathi, appointed Pathik Shah as the Chief Executive Officer for DB Digital, its digital products business.

Pathik will be responsible for driving the digital business at Dainik Bhaskar. Prior to joining Dainik Bhaskar, Pathik was associated with Hike Messenger for almost seven years. He was designated as the vice-president, products and also led M&A functions.

During his tenure at Hike, he led many of the key product and growth initiatives which helped in increasing the number of registered users to over 100 million. Under Pathik’s leadership, Hike raised capital of more than USD 250 million, accounting for a valuation of USD 1.4 billion, all in less than four years. Additionally, he also executed many M&A transactions for Hike, including an investment in WinZO and the acquisition of ZipPhone, Creo and few others.
