India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), an apex body representing the Indian Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) industry, has appointed Rajeev Khushu as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Currently, Khushu is the Director Corporate Affairs, and Government Relations at Texas Instruments India. With over two decades of industry experience, he had earlier served in companies like Siemens, and Atmel.
At Texas Instruments, Khushu has held several senior leadership positions and helped establish the company’s sales and application team in India.
Khushu has been associated with IESA, too, and has been a part of several IESA initiatives such as Electropreneur parks (EP), Semiconductor Fabless Accelerator Lab (SFAL), and Intelligent Electronics Readiness Indicator (IE).
“With favorable policies in the pipeline, the next five years will present several opportunities for the country to emerge as a leading producer of hardware, ranging from 5G infrastructure equipment, industrial and defence electronics to EV and medical devices. I look forward to building on this momentum, and collaborating with key stakeholders across government, industry, and start-ups to create a strong ecosystem for semiconductors and electronics in India,” said Rajeev Khushu, on his appointment.
In his new role as Chairman, Khushu will play an instrumental role in strengthening initiatives such as increasing global and regional manufacturing presence in India; accelerating the path from ideation, and policy formation to on-the-ground execution, IESA said.
“His vision is to leverage the Semiconductor Design talent in the country to help create a robust and holistic ecosystem,” it said.
